2018 Olmsted GOP Convention

Allow time for parking (on the building’s west side), registration, packet familiarity, and seating. Seriously, please do not arrive at 8:25.

Our biggest agenda item is electing people to represent Olmsted county’s Republicans at congressional district (CD), and state (MN) conventions. We elect one group to serve both purposes. At those conventions, among other things, delegates will endorse Republican candidates for the House of Representatives, Governor and Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, State Auditor, and U.S. Senate.

Our Nominating committee provides us a starting list of candidates (included below in the Materials) for the delegate positions. Nominations will be open at the convention, to allow any interested and eligible individual an opportunity to be a candidate.


You may bring a bag lunch. Delegate, alternates, and guests may purchase a sandwich-and-chips sort of lunch for $10.


There is a registration fee to cover our costs. Delegates and alternates can register online or via USPS mail.

Mailed registrations are $20 and must be postmarked by Friday, February 23. Print, complete, and send the call (in your hand or from the link, below) with your check as instructed on the call. Add $10 for lunch if you want one.

Online registrations are $20 until noon Monday, February 26 and $30 thereafter. Lunch is an optional add-on until noon Monday, February 26.

Guests may be registered for $10 at any time.

All are subject to change until reproduced for the convention (expected Wednesday, February 28). Where not yet available, their status is indicated. Participants need not be familiar with these documents before arriving at the convention but it helps.
