Press Release: Teachers and Carla

staff press release

Over the weekend Education Minnesota (EM) and Governor Walz held a rally at the capitol where local Rochester Education Association (REA) members crossed the proverbial line in the sand. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, here are two… Senator Nelson has been and continues to be a strong advocate for education in Minnesota. If this is the kind of treatment EM and the REA has for those that support education can you imagine what they will say if you’re opposed to ‘their’ way of thinking? If this is how teachers in Rochester Public Schools (RPS) act publicly, we shudder to think what could be happening in their classrooms. Our second biennial garage sale for charity was June 19-20. Proceeds were for the Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge of Rochester. They work to help people escape the troubles of substance abuse. Their success rate is the highest of which we know. We’re happy to have been able to support their mission to the tune of $3,430. Our own Julie Zuehlke and Cheryl Champa presented the check and gift. Tom Truszinski – Director of the MN Adult & Teen Challenge Rochester campus – is shown receiving a special edition of Jesus as Healer. As the Challenge is a faith-based organization, it seemed an appropriate gift for them. On the left, Cory Jordan – Development Director of MNTC – and Ryan look on.

Tim Walz, Pratt pointed out, “claims to support gun rights but his record tells a different story.” Four times in 2008-2009, Walz voted to keep in place a total gun ban on millions of acres of National Park Service land. He also voted for the massive ObamaCare bill, despite concerns of …

Greg Gallas is a candidate for the Rochester School Board. He asked us to provide an outlet for describing his campaign. The Olmsted GOP has not endorsed any local candidates for any race (and has no plans to do so) but we are happy to provide citizens accessible information that allows them to make informed decisions. All that follows (without italics) is from Mr. Gallas. Over the past 24 years with IBM I have held a number of positions, which have included the creation of the Rochester AS/400 Loaner program where I managed a biannual budget of $14 million. I also spent 18 years traveling the country as an Event Manager planning IBM marketing and educational events. This was one of the most challenging jobs, with balancing an …
